My dear friend, Alexis Nicole, opened her boutique last week. Since my branding agency M7 Creative led the marketing efforts for her new store: Boutique Illphashion it was only right that I had the confidence to ask her if I could sell my necklaces in her boutique with a promise to split the revenue in sells each month. I love being able to drop off product knowing that they will be seen by many shoppers. So how I got my first product in store is that I simply asked and Alexis said yes. lol. See Alexis launch flyer below with all details.

I would have never imagined that 2020 would bring a pandemic while in the wake of the largest civil rights movements in world history with over 50 states and 18 other countries leading black lives matter protest. I want to start this blog post off by saying no matter who you are, you can make an impact. No matter how big or small you feel your brand is, you have the power to make an impact. Long story short, I made a connection while working for a local non -profit in Atlanta five years ago. We remained in contact with each other. She called me the first week schools closed because of COVID-19 and asked me if I wanted to feed youth and teens who may be food insecure. I called my mentor Dee Dee Cunningham, partner at Journee's Unlimited, and my Grandma and asked them what they thought of it, they both said it would be great opportunity to make an impact and that I just needed to make sure I was being safe (mask, gloves, etc). Fast forward to four months later, through my non - profit Journee's Unlimited Inc. we've set up over six mobile feeding sites throughout Atlanta and Metro Atlanta. It's been so rewarding knowing that even in the midst of uncertainty, I can still use my platform to serve others and so can you! When I got that call that day I would have never imagined it would lead to over 500 youth and teens being fed hot meals and snacks every weekday. It seems like everybody wants to build a brand these days and I'm totally here for it especially for my dualpreneurs (employee + entrepreneur) ! Your brand is the vehicle in which you share your passions with the universe. While I do value the technical elements needed to strategically craft a high impact making brand or business, as a brand coach I see so many people rushing past the most important factors in building a brand...PURPOSE and PASSION (SOUL). When building your brand it's very important that you think with longevity in mind understanding that each day counts toward building your divine empire. With that being said, if you do not have a real purpose behind why you're doing what you're doing then you are interfering with your brands longevity. Ofcourse a brand can be slapped together or even microwave designed to look pretty for the gram, but the goal is to create something that will stand the test of time and strategically using our resources while doing so. When we create and build our brands with purpose in mind we leverage our ability to grind for something that we really believe in. When we brand with purpose it allows for an organic and authentic approach to brand and business building and we can attract customers, clients, and online audience members by doing so. So remember always do what you love with soul. It's the foundation of a brand that will leave a legacy.
